Taisho Pharmaceuticals Philippines, Inc. successfully conducted its CSR Gift-Giving Program – Baseco Compound on December 20, 2025, as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and sustainable community development. The activity was implemented in collaboration with Caritas Manila, Inc., a well-established non-government organization recognized for its programs on poverty alleviation, nutrition, education, and social welfare.

The program was held at Sto. Niño de Baseco Parish – Sta. Teresa Chapel, located within the Baseco Compound, Manila, one of the densely populated urban communities in the country. The initiative formed part of Taisho Pharmaceuticals Philippines, Inc.’s broader CSR and ESG framework, with particular focus on child welfare, nutrition support, and community partnership.

Program Rationale and Objectives
The CSR Gift-Giving Program was designed to support underprivileged children, particularly those vulnerable to malnutrition and limited access to basic needs. Through partnership with Caritas Manila, the company aimed to contribute to ongoing nutrition interventions while promoting compassion, social responsibility, and volunteerism among employees.

 
The specific objectives of the program were to:
